The legalist inside of me wants to combat this track by saying that this video is dumb and promotes a freedom to sin with no accountability. The legalist inside me wants to smack Derek Minor, Dee-1, and Lecrae and say stop trying to be so relevant and preach the Gospel. The legalist inside me wants to respond to this track by writing a huge comment that talks about how we shouldn’t spend time listening to sinners explain why they sin and just give them the Gospel and tell them to repent and believe.
However, that is the legalist inside of me.
The sinner saved by grace that is inside me hears this song and is convicted that I don’t listen to people when I share the gospel but rather I am just machine gunning the gospel with no real care of the person I am trying to convert. The sinner saved by grace that is inside me realizes that when I share the gospel with people, I should care about this person as a whole and not just “winning a soul” to put on my list of “wins.” The sinner saved by grace that is inside me realizes that this song is for me and that the gospel of Jesus Christ is the most important thing this world needs and just like Christ, it begins by sitting with the sinner and listening to them.

I really like Facebook pages like Mars Hill Church and Creature of the Word. I like how they post the pictures that have to do with their ministry that people can share with their friends or even post on Instagram. So needless to say, I try to mimic that. I do my best, time permitting, to put up a quote or phrase that has to do with what I will be teaching in my ministry so my students can share and get their hearts prepared for Wednesday. What usually happens is my students will like the picture and then move on. However, my friends who follow me on Facebook, Twitter, and Instragram have great conversations based on the graphic I made.

I love Adam4d.com I don’t know much about the actual person who runs the site, but his comics are great. He posted this today and it freaked me out how similar of a conversation I had with a Jehovah Witness once. It is like this guy was there.
